You can develop your professional skills translating specialised topics, managing terminology, using translation technologies and negotiating the cultural and intellectual boundaries of Chinese and Spanish speaking worlds. An internship is a core component of the program, giving you a real-world industry experience.
The Master of Translation and Master of Translation (Enhanced) at the University of Melbourne are endorsed by the National Authority for Accreditation for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) at a professional level.
A Master of Translation readies you for work in professional fields including:

Enrich you translation studies by undertaking an elective in culture, communication, languages and linguistics, such as:

English language requirements for Coursework degree: IELTS (academic English Only) - 6.5 overall, with written 6.5 and no band less than 6.0; TOEFL (paper-based test) - 577 + TWE 4.5; TOEFL (internet-based test) - 79 + (Writing 21; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13); Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 58 + no other communicative skill below 50; Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) - 176 + no less than 185 in Writing and 169 in each other skill. English language requirements for Master of Philosophy: IELTS (academic English Only) - 7.0 overall, with written 7 and no band less than 6.0; TOEFL (paper-based test) - 600 + TWE 5.0; TOEFL (internet-based test) - 94 + (Writing 27; Speaking 18; Reading 13; Listening 13); Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 65 + written communicative skill of 65 and no other communicative skill below 50; Cambridge English: Advanced/ Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) - 185 + no less than 185 in Writing and 169 in each other skill.
