專業(yè)概況
在這里學什么？
Students who have undertaken the Mechanical Systems major will be able to rigorously integrate fundamental science in mechanics with engineering principles to solve practical problems involving mechanical systems. Core skills and knowledge that will be developed include: fundamental scientific comprehension that will lead to accurate mathematical modelling of mechanical systems, analytical and abstract thinking, problem-solving and design skills, and the ability to carry out laboratory experiments to confirm possible solutions to complex problems. In all levels of this major, we will ensure the development of excellent communication skills that will enable our graduates to deliver complex scientific information in a clear and concise fashion. The Mechanical Systems major will open up various pathways for students, which will include accredited professional or scientific research careers in mechanical and mechatronics engineering (through further study in the Masters in Engineering (ME) or PhD programs), teaching, management and also careers in the finance industry.

為來自中國的學生設計 To be eligible for entry to an undergraduate degree you must fulfill all of the following requirements: Complete the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an overseas qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12. English language requirements: TOEFL - Paper based test - a score of 577 or more including a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English. Internet based test - a score of 79 and scores of: Writing: 21, Speaking: 18, Reading: 13, Listening 13. IELTS (Academic) - an overall band score of 6.5 or more in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0. Pearson Test of English (Academic) - an overall score of between 58-64 inclusive and achieve no PTE communicative skills score below 50. Cambridge English: Advanced/Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - A Cambridge English Score of 176 with no skill below 169.
