在這里學(xué)什么？
The Ecosystem Science major focuses on the science and technologies associated with the function and management of ecosystems, via two specialisations in urban ecosystems and forest ecosystems. The major integrates knowledge from a range of disciplines including plant sciences, soil science, hydrology, ecology, design, engineering and the social sciences, by enabling students to complete a sequence of subjects in each specialisation. Students will also complete an integrated capstone subject in which they develop skills in site analysis, the collection, integration and analysis of data, and the evaluation and presentation of management plans. Students will gain to experience prepare them for the workplace by participating in group research projects and working groups.
We all like to think we’re green but, for the first time ever, more than 50 per cent of people around the world live in cities.
Some think this removes us from nature, but we’re now recognising the value of urban ecosystems, green spaces and urban forests in making our cities more liveable for us, and for our plant and animal neighbours.
Meanwhile, outside the cities, we see dwindling forests worldwide and an ever-expanding appetite for forest products and ask, what can we do?
This major will show you how to care for, use and protect urban and forest ecosystems.
There are two specialisations in this major: Urban Ecosystems and Forest Ecosystems.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be eligible for entry to an undergraduate degree you must fulfill all of the following requirements: Complete the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an overseas qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12. English language requirements: TOEFL - Paper based test - a score of 577 or more including a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English. Internet based test - a score of 79 and scores of: Writing: 21, Speaking: 18, Reading: 13, Listening 13. IELTS (Academic) - an overall band score of 6.5 or more in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0. Pearson Test of English (Academic) - an overall score of between 58-64 inclusive and achieve no PTE communicative skills score below 50. Cambridge English: Advanced/Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - A Cambridge English Score of 176 with no skill below 169.
