Chemistry major students will develop the capacity to view the world from a molecular perspective and to solve complex problems that span the breadth of chemistry and other sciences. Pathways for chemistry majors will include careers in research (through further study including MSc and PhD programs in chemistry and allied areas), teaching, government and professional positions.
Wondering what chemistry is all about? The better question is, what isn’t chemistry all about?
Whether it’s harnessing renewable energy sources, next-gen nanotechnology or new medical breakthroughs, chemistry is an ever-present and vital tool for shaping the technologies of the future.
The future of science is multidisciplinary, and chemistry sits at the intersection of so much that will change our world over the coming century.

中國學(xué)生入學(xué)要求
為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 To be eligible for entry to an undergraduate degree you must fulfill all of the following requirements: Complete the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an overseas qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12. English language requirements: TOEFL - Paper based test - a score of 577 or more including a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English. Internet based test - a score of 79 and scores of: Writing: 21, Speaking: 18, Reading: 13, Listening 13. IELTS (Academic) - an overall band score of 6.5 or more in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0. Pearson Test of English (Academic) - an overall score of between 58-64 inclusive and achieve no PTE communicative skills score below 50. Cambridge English: Advanced/Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - A Cambridge English Score of 176 with no skill below 169.
