專業(yè)概況

在這里學(xué)什么？

Students who have undertaken the Chemical Systems major will be able to rigorously integrate fundamental science in chemical engineering to provide accurate information and optimum solutions to practical problems involving basic chemical processing systems. More specifically, core skills and knowledge that will be developed include: fundamental scientific comprehension that will lead to accurate computer modelling of process systems, analytical and abstract thinking, problem-solving and design skills, ability to carry out laboratory experiments to eliminate or confirm possible solutions to complex problems. In all levels of this major, we will ensure the development of excellent communication skills that will enable our graduates to deliver complex scientific information in a clear and concise fashion. The Chemical Systems major provides a direct pathway for admission to Masters in Engineering programs in chemical and biochemical engineering. These Masters programs will be accredited and recognized internationally as professional engineering degrees. Students graduating from these programs will be ready to work in a range of chemical and biochemical engineering industries anywhere in the world.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 To be eligible for entry to an undergraduate degree you must fulfill all of the following requirements: Complete the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an overseas qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12. English language requirements: TOEFL - Paper based test - a score of 577 or more including a score of 4.5 in the Test of Written English. Internet based test - a score of 79 and scores of: Writing: 21, Speaking: 18, Reading: 13, Listening 13. IELTS (Academic) - an overall band score of 6.5 or more in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0. Pearson Test of English (Academic) - an overall score of between 58-64 inclusive and achieve no PTE communicative skills score below 50. Cambridge English: Advanced/Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - A Cambridge English Score of 176 with no skill below 169.
