By studying the dual program, you'll obtain two sought-after qualifications in less time than studying the programs separately. UQ's engineering program offers the largest choice of engineering disciplines in Queensland, with 5 core specialisations and 14 majors to choose from. The flexible curriculum will equip you to work in both established and newly emerging areas of engineering.
You'll benefit from hands-on experiences across all aspects of engineering, more study options for greater career opportunities, and direct contact with industry – your future employers – threaded throughout your degree.
Computer science combines the theoretical studies of algorithms and data structures with the practical challenges of implementing them in hardware and software systems. Through this program you'll develop the strong analytical, logical and development skills necessary to advance computing and its applications. You can specialise in cyber security, data science, machine learning, programming languages or scientific computing.
You'll graduate with qualifications that are highly valued and in demand, ready for an exciting career in leading-edge technology.
General Civil Engineering
Develop your fundamental knowledge of all sub-disciplines of civil engineering.
You'll be well placed to solve and manage engineering problems across the natural and built environments, including building design, dams and flood protection systems, analysis and design of earth structures and foundations, transport system design and analysis, and pollution management.
This expertise will position you to immediately contribute to traditional and new projects right across the civil engineering profession.

To be offered a place in an undergraduate program, you need to have successfully completed Queensland Year 12, or a qualification equivalent to Queensland Year 12, with the required minimum entry score for the program you're interested in studying. English Language Scores: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; BE: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
