This dual program sets you up for a career where you'll use your engineering know-how as a leader in a business or entrepreneurial setting.
By completing the dual program you'll gain an extra qualification and open up pathways to use your engineering prowess in a broad range of business applications.
In the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you’ll develop technical skills through a core specialisation, which will form the basis of your career.
Depending on your choice of specialisation, the engineering skills you'll develop will allow you to work in a range of fields, from infrastructure and hospitals to energy and software.
Under the world-class business program, you'll complete a range of courses that cover concepts relevant across the business world. You'll study topics including innovation and entrepreneurship, economics, marketing, business information systems, strategy and management.
During your studies you'll hear from guest lecturers from industry, examine real-life case studies and undertake projects, placements and internships with leading businesses.
Marketing
This major will develop you into a dynamic marketing professional.
You'll study marketing strategy and customer behaviour, including how personality, lifestyle and culture affect purchasing decisions.
The courses in this major will teach you how to create value through brand management, service and relationship management, and digital and market research strategy. You’ll also gain insight into how advertising management operates in the context of artificial intelligence, ethics and micro-targeting.
This major will prepare you to work in a huge range of marketing teams in industries including tourism, arts and entertainment, sales and retail, and not-for-profit agencies.

To be offered a place in an undergraduate program, you need to have successfully completed Queensland Year 12, or a qualification equivalent to Queensland Year 12, with the required minimum entry score for the program you're interested in studying. English Language Scores: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; BE: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
