This programme offers you the opportunity to focus in detail on a chosen area of the subject, while still being able to take some taught courses. It is intended for those who already have a good background in linguistics, typically from undergraduate study.
Who is this programme for?
This is one of two MSc by Research programmes offered in Linguistics & English Language. You should choose this programme if you wish to specialise in an area of applied linguistics or sociolinguistics.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) You should have a good first degree from a recognised institution, with minimum grades of between 80-85%. This is the University’s general minimum requirement but some programmes may have specific qualification requirements as well. Entry requirements vary from course to course and in cases there is also variation in the standards required for entry to certain courses. Courses in great demand are likely to require higher entry grades. Please refer the university website for details of the English Language requirements for entry to individual postgraduate degree programmes.
