This intensive programme will enable you to delve deeper into the structure of the English language’s: Phonology; syntax and semantics; modern and historical development.
Joining an internationally-acclaimed centre for research and teaching in the linguistic study of English, you will explore in depth a global language with a rich history and great social and geographical variation.
You will be taught by world-leading experts who will give you a detailed awareness of the ways in which English is used in Britain and around the world.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) You should have a good first degree from a recognised institution, with minimum grades of between 80-85%. This is the University’s general minimum requirement but some programmes may have specific qualification requirements as well. Entry requirements vary from course to course and in cases there is also variation in the standards required for entry to certain courses. Courses in great demand are likely to require higher entry grades. Please refer the university website for details of the English Language requirements for entry to individual postgraduate degree programmes.
