在這里學(xué)什么？ This programme offers you the opportunity to study the Portuguese language while exploring the development of languages, generally, and the cultures of Lusophone countries. As well as intense training in the written and spoken aspects of the language, studying Portuguese at the University of Edinburgh is your gateway to an extraordinary range of literature, film and theatre from Europe, Latin America and Lusophone Africa. Studying Linguistics as part of this joint programme, you'll learn how language is acquired, produced and understood; how it functions in interaction between individuals and in society; what its abstract structure is and how it is represented in the brain; and how language changes over time. Uniquely in Scotland, studying at Edinburgh enables you to take a full year abroad as part of your four-year undergraduate programme, either studying, teaching or working. You'll therefore spend Year 3 in a country where Portuguese is spoken.
