在這里學什么？ Portuguese and English are two of the most widely spoken languages in the world. This programme offers you the opportunity to study both languages alongside Lusophone literatures and cultures. As well as intense training in the written and spoken aspects of the language, studying Portuguese at the University of Edinburgh is your gateway to an extraordinary range of literature, film and theatre from Europe, Latin America and Lusophone Africa. The study of English Language focuses on developing your knowledge and understanding of the principles of theoretical linguistics, the way we learn language, the regional and social variations of language in general - and of the English language in particular - and methods of communication. Uniquely in Scotland, studying at Edinburgh enables you to take a full year abroad as part of your four-year undergraduate programme, either studying, teaching or working. You'll therefore spend Year 3 in a country where Portuguese is spoken. Another attractive characteristic of this programme is its flexibility. This means that in Years 1 and 2, you’ll choose option courses drawn from a broad list of disciplines in addition to your core subjects.
