專業(yè)概況

在這里學(xué)什么？ This programme will help you develop your interest in, and specialist knowledge of, linguistics while learning Italian to a high standard and in its cultural context. One of Europe’s most creative and distinctive civilisations, Italy has a fascinating and influential history. Study Italian with us and you will learn the language in the context of Italian culture, past and present, including leading works of literature and cinema. Through the study of linguistics, you will learn how language is acquired, produced and understood; how it functions in interaction between individuals and in society; about its abstract structure and representation in the brain; and how it changes over time. You do not need to have studied Italian previously to take our programme. Intensive language tuition, and a year spent studying or working in Italy, will teach you how to read, write and speak the language to a high standard, including in translation.
