專業(yè)概況

在這里學(xué)什么？ One of Europe’s most creative and distinctive civilisations, Italy is the birthplace of many influential artists and art movements. Study Italian with us and you will learn the language in the context of Italian culture, past and present, including significant works of art, literature and cinema. You do not need to have studied Italian previously to take our programme. Intensive language tuition, and a year spent studying or working in Italy, will teach you how to read, write and speak the language to a high standard, including in translation. Beyond Italy, studying History of Art will introduce you to art from different periods and cultures. You will learn how and for whom works of art were made, explore their meaning, and discover the ways they were - and continue to be - interpreted. From the University’s own Italian Society to the Italian Cultural Institute, you will find many places in Edinburgh to indulge your interest in one of the world’s great cultures, while enjoying the galleries, museums, cinemas and theatres of one of its favourite festival cities.
