在這里學什么？ From the tiny processors found in smartphones to the heavy duty power electronics in wind turbines, electronic and electrical systems underpin many modern technologies. In today's world of complex high-speed devices, it is important that engineers can understand how to design and implement both the hardware and software of general-purpose and embedded computer systems. Interactions between the fields of electronics and computer science have generated some of the most significant advances in computer design and communications technology over the last 50 years, making these subjects a fascinating and highly valuable combination for a joint Honours. Graduates in this area are spearheading advances in fields including technology for medicine, efficiency in transportation, safety monitoring systems, surveillance, entertainment, wireless communications, manufacturing and computing, and renewable energy generation, to name a few. Students of electronics and computer science require a clear understanding of both the physics and the broader system it operates in, teamwork, and the determination to find ingenious solutions. **Ties to industry** Our Industrial Liaison Board includes senior representatives from important electronics and electrical engineering companies and has influenced curriculum and programme development
