專業(yè)概況
在這里學什么? Business with Strategic Economics encompasses the study of public, private and not-for-profit organisations, both small and large, their management practices and processes, and the changing external environment in which they operate. Strategic economics can be thought of as the application of economic principles to strategic decisions that managers make. Most business decisions involve a comparison of marginal benefits with margin cost, widely interpreted, and so implicitly or explicitly involve economic principles. Studies in Strategic Economics will focus your learning on developing a strong knowledge base in Economics. Economics 1 is a calculus-based course and you will develop a rigorous understanding of core economic models and analysis and how these are applied in a variety of contexts. You will understand how economic principles enable managers to make optimal decisions as well as being aware of some government policies that affect those decisions. The honours years include finance, corporate governance, debt policy, dividend policy, corporate restructuring, market efficiency and behavioural biases in corporate decision making, and the major strategic behaviours and decisions of the modern corporation.
