STANDARDIZED TESTS
目前申請美國高中，學校普遍 要求提供TOEFL和SSAT。
Salah: “Before the Test, spend about one hour a day over the course of several weeks as that is more effective than multiple hours each day. Give yourself time to practice each test before taking it. There are many preparatory courses, online services, and books to choose from, but no matter which route you select, make sure to take some timed practice tests before you take the actual test. This will help you gain familiarity with the exam and boost your confidence. Lastly, understand the scoring of the test you are taking and do not panic!
02 學術成績
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
即在校成績單，是體現(xiàn)學生學術能力的直觀材料，也是重要申請材料之一。美國中學申請一般需要最近三年成績單，均分80分以上。Top前50雖沒有明確GPA，但建議申請的學生每科成績都在B（80-90分）
AK: “To stand out as an applicant, you should take challenging courses in Math, English, Science, History, and a Foreign Language. Not only will schools consider these courses for admission into their school, these courses will help you build basic skills that you are going to use all of your life. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, it will pay off in the long run!”

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
相比較華而不實的簡歷，美國學校更看重的，是真正熱愛一件事情并且愿意投入的人。
Kaya: “Extracurriculars provide insight into who you are as a person and what you can contribute to a community. Don’t fill your application with generic activities, instead pick two or three activities that you are passionate about and dedicate yourself to doing those activities as best as you can.”

ESSAYS
在申請美國高中留學時，申請文書所要傳達的最重要的一個內(nèi)容即是申請主題。所謂申請主題，即通過挖掘自我生活來尋找素材，再通過素材反映申請者的個性和價值觀。
Salah: “In my experience in Admissions, stellar essays include tangible evidence of a student’s passions. For example, a project, experiment, portfolio, or a venture on which they spent substantial time learning or creating. I encourage students to not just tell what their passions are, but to show the evidence in their essay.”
05 推薦信
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
推薦信是從第三者的立場來介紹、展示申請人的綜合素質(zhì)以及優(yōu)秀品質(zhì)，這對于學校衡量錄取與否是非常重要的。
Salah: “Boarding schools use personal and teacher recommendations to add a more subjective and personal perspective to their assessment of your abilities, which can show aspects of your personality that don’t always come out on tests and papers. Therefore, choose teachers who can speak to your personal integrity, honesty, work-ethic, and your human side.”
06 面試
INTERVIEW
面試作為美高申請者與校方的直接溝通，其重要性不言而喻。在訪校面試環(huán)節(jié)中，學生需要穿著得體，彬彬有禮地與學校招辦人員面談，給學校留下好印象，增加被錄取的可能性。
Kaya: “Research the school and prepare well before the interview. This will help familiarize yourself with basic questions about the school that you will be asked during the interview. As an International student, you potentially have a great advantage, because you bring a unique and different perspective to the school, so be confident, share your experience, and believe in yourself!”
